PALO ALTO NETWORKS EXCELS IN NSS LABS REPORT
In the first half of 2011, NSS Labs performed extensive testing of 6 of the most widely deployed enterprise network firewalls in the market. The testing was focused on traditional port-based firewall features and excluded any review of next-generation firewall capabilities. Products were evaluated in terms of security effectiveness, performance, stability, and total cost of ownership.

Palo Alto Networks excelled in all areas of NSS testing:
 - Palo Alto Networks is one of two vendors to pass all security and evasion tests, and receive a "Recommend" rating as a traditional firewall.
- Palo Alto Networks showed the best price performance in the industry, with a 45% lower TCO than nearest competitor and 67% less than the industry average.
- Half of the firewalls tested showed serious stability problems, while Palo Alto Networks did not.
