Information Security Engineer - Melbourne

The information security engineer is primarly responsible for providing security implementation services to Loop Technology’s client base. It will also involve working collaboratively in a pre-sales capacity with the sales team to demonstrate to our clients the Loop capabilities including consulting on client infrastructure and security controls as well as and providing written and verbal presentations.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Implementation
• Design security infrastructure solutions.
• Security architecture design.
• Security solution integration and implementation.
• Information systems reviews eg firewall policy reviews.

Pre Sales
• Provide and review technical product information and advice to the sales team and clients.
• Assist Account Managers to formulate and present proposed security solutions to clients and identify opportunities for products/services within existing and potential client organisations.
• Analyse existing projects to ensure additional business opportunities are identified, explored and closed.
• Architect security solutions based on the customer’s needs and best-practices.
• Develop and respond to qualified tenders and proposals.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology (or related field)
• CISSP
• CISA and/or CISM
• Any vendor certificates from the following vendors: RSA, McAfee, Checkpoint, Clearswift, Bluecoat, Juniper
• Minimum 3 years proven technical security background
• Experience in implementing a wide variety of network security devices &/or security software solutions e.g., firewalls, proxies, anti-spam filtering solutions
• Experience with at a minimum one of either McAfee, RSA product or competitive suite
• Experience in the design and implementation of network security controls, including, gateway, desktop and server solutions.Experience working with sales teams to produce statements of work or tenders
• Experience with vulnerability analysis and penetration testing beneficial but not essential

• Organisational Skills
• Knowledge of Security Policy Standards (eg ISO 27001, SOX, PCI, APRA PPG234, ACSI33)
• Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, RIP & OSPF
